Message from the PastorDear Brothers and Sisters,
Beginning Sept 10th, we will be starting a church-wide spiritual growth experience that will run for five weekends Sept 10-Oct 8. This spiritual growth experience will deepen our understanding of God's plan for our time, talent, and treasure. The events of the campaign will give us opportunities to not only learn about God’s plans for our lives, but also to commit to new practices that will help us live out the plan day-to-day. We are excited about the impact this will have on our church and our community as we envision our entire congregation living in alignment with God's purpose for our lives! We don't need more content; we need conversation. We are asking every member of our church to participate in the campaign: 1. SMALL GROUPS. We are asking everyone to join the five-week study REVEALED: The Life You've Only Imagined. We are asking existing groups to place your current studies on hold for the five weeks. Starting this Sunday, you will have an opportunity to sign up for new small groups that will meet once a week. This interactive study allows for a deeper understanding of God's purposes for stewardship of time, talent, and treasure in every person's life. This is a spiritual growth campaign, not a fundraising campaign. 2. WORSHIP SERVICES. There will be five weekend worship messages that align with the topics everyone will be studying in their small groups. 3. 100-year ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY. The campaign culminates with a church-wide party where we will rejoice together over all God has done in our midst during the campaign. on Oct 15 4. MINISTRY FAIR. This event will give people an opportunity to get involved in a ministry by showcasing all our church ministries and welcoming new volunteers to serve in our church and community. Please pray hard that this will change your life and how you live for God. This Saturday - WATER BOTTLE OUTREACH - let's meet at 10 am in Room 6 - We will pass out water bottles to thirsty people all around the city (for about 1 hour), to let people know about our church and programs, including... ...Car Show - Aug 19th - more info here: https://www.mylhcc.com/carshow.html If you still want to volunteer and serve at the Car Show, you can still join our meeting after service this Sunday.
